If you’ve never ridden a bike before or would like to boost your confidence cycling – these courses are for you!
The objectives of these courses are to build confidence in a safe and friendly environment, to encourage adults to take up cycling and to prepare them for the local ride programmes or rides generally.
Adult courses can be mixed or for women only, depending on demand.

These sessions are intended to be bookable as it suits each learner. So effectively a series of drop in sessions for adults and young adults (16+) who wish to learn to ride, or who can ride 100 meters or more but are not confident and would like to develop their skills.
The instructors will adjust the training sessions to suit the (max 6) learners who have booked so may be working with two groups at different levels.
Bike hire is available (please let us know if you wish to hire).

Bike Buddy sessions are designed to increase your confidence cycling around Stevenage. If you live or work within Stevenage and want to cycle to work, the gym, swimming pool, or maybe the shops, then we can help you. We can help you to plan your best route, build confidence in your bike handling skills, teach you how to cycle on the road (if there is no cycleway), show you how to carry luggage / shopping, etc. Once you have your route planned we can then ride it with you to give you the confidence to ride it by yourself.
Please note that as these sessions are subsidised they are only open to those who live or work in Stevenage.
This booking system is a manual process so there may appear to be available dates that have been taken - we will endeavour to ensure that this does not happen - but rest assured that any bookings will be processed in order that they were received and as quickly as we can possibly manage.
